$2M → $9M
Annual revenue, in about two years
A manufacturer had built its brand around the product. We shifted it to the people actually using it: brought someone from that community onto the marketing team, created a national day honoring those customers, and partnered with a professional sports organization to celebrate it. Social media grew from zero to over 17,000 followers in 17 months on under $500 a month in ads.
One sentence, one loyal customer base
A family-owned donut shop was losing business after a national chain opened across the parking lot. One change: "Thank you" became "Thank you for choosing us." Customers started coming in specifically to support the small business, and told their friends why.
Relationship before the pitch
At a small local radio station, I spent six months getting to know a national brand's representative before ever pitching. When I did, she said yes to sponsoring a community Thanksgiving event. The platform was small. The relationship wasn't.
